Just FYI: Yes, it did hit us at a Cat 1 (Or did it? Sources conflict on this, so I hope a meteorologist will take the time to intervene here, and let us know what the experts believe); the highest winds were recorded at around 77 mph. (Notice that StormPulse has Gustav listed as a hurricane in Southeast Rapides Parish before turning into a tropical storm).

And get ready for Ike. These things are dynamic, and any slight shift to the east could place us in the notorious Northeast Quandrant.

  1. Hope you don’t get hit again–over here I’m both breathing a sigh of relief but at the same time feeling bad for anyone unlucky enough to be in the path.

Shoot, I really thought BR was too far inland to really have to worry. Won’t make that mistake again.
