KALB is hosting a mayoral debate…err…conversation… on Thursday. Channel 5. 6:00- 6:30PM. The debate’s format has been described as similar to “Meet the Press,” which could be very interesting.
And just like last time, we’ll be liveblogging the debate…err conversation. So, remember to log onto CenLamar while you’re watching the debate. It’s fun for the whole family.

Roy should pick and choose his appearances carefully. As frontrunner, he does not have to appear on the same dias as the hysterical woman who compared him to a rapist and then portrays him as a pig. That would be showing her respect that she does not deserve. I think doing the channel 5 interview on Thursday is a good idea. That will be the one that touches the most voters.

its that he’d be a corrupt one. its blatantly obvious. his entire family has made their money from “sweetheart deals.” and the joke is that sweetheart deals are the foundation of his campaign.
louisiana’s politically history is already pretty cute.
before roy gets into office he’ll be pocketing several million from the cleco fiasco instead of funneling it in while he’s in office. both scenarios are completely illegal and against policy.

Poor you–drank too much of the Brewer kool aid down at the HQ. They done brainwashed you, man. It is just the opposite–you gotta worry about corruption and sweetheart deals if the “Blonde Ambition” candidate is elected. Plus, you’d have Mr. Provosty running the city–
But lucky for Alexandrians, we NOT gonna have Brewer for mayor.We will have Mr. Roy, who will surround himself with intelligent, dynamic people and whip the council into shape. He’ll be going in with such a mandate that he won;t have to cowtow to anyone. Plus, his financial backers are not looking for jobs or contracts. They are already happy with what they’re doing–and very successful at it.
Roy will win by a landslide. Brewers’ antics have practically won him the election already.

My prediction?
Pain.
Brewer can’t possibly win. Who would vote for her after watching her latest TV ad. It’s rude and tacky and even has racist tones (the brown pig). She has to be grasping at straws to have put such a thing on TV. And have any of the people complaining about the fees Roy made on the Cleco case ever worked on a large, complex commercial litigation file? It owns your life; you think of nothing else and you work very, very long hours for a very, very long time. His effective rate of pay was probably $1 an hour.
