Breaking: Francis Heitmeier Drops Out of LA Secretary of State Race, Jay Dardenne Becomes Secretary of State-Elect.

Heitmeier said after a close examination of the Sept. 30 primary results, it was apparent that turnout would not be much better in the Nov. 7 runoff election “and that it would take a large revenue stream to mount a major get out the vote effort.”

just as well. we werent going to cast a ballot in the sec’y of state runoff. luckily there will be another sec’y of state election next year.
I voted for her, but IMHO, if DB is smart, she’ll do the same thing as Heitmeier. I believe she can move on to do something positive. Her best positioning would be to get out now.
I think Delores will look at polling and realize it.

I heard it was a straight shooting poll. But that’s second hand. I was not called. Fletcher usually uses Southern Media-Bernie Pensonat–wonder if that’s who’s doing it?
I’ve got some issue based questions about that photo. What is Lamar looking at? Do you think he will get more calls from that picture than the one in Cenla Focus?

I figured maybe you were just pondering another thread or trying to keep your chin up from the daily beatings you get from the goons on cenlaantics.
The question is not why YOU should get DB out now. The question is whether she should make the decision to get out now. If she stays in you’ll get to raise a boat load of money from people who know who’s gonna win and are afraid not to put down the bread on the winner. You probably wouldn’t even have to use it all to win on the 7th. Your guy would go in with a warchest. Yes, I get it…why should you want her out now.
IMHO, DB has more to lose by running it off than getting out. I hope she makes her decision INDEPENDENT of the Republican “bitties” who mistakenly believe they are sooo knowledgeable about politics and the wacky neighbors who want her to stay in.

Not knocking Republicans. Knocking a handful of ladies who bake cookies and decorate the headquarters and think that makes them political experts.
Don’t underestimate our love for Republicans. One got an endorsement on the democratic ballot. that’s promotion – Myron was Heitmeier’s guy in Cenla.
Actually there were a lot of people voting for Heitmeier so Joe Mac would take full control of the Senate Finance Committee. There are always reasons behind every vote :-))
I hope Mike Francis is kicking himself in the ass right now. I am glad he shot his wad. Anyone associated with supreme asshole of all time Mike Foster can suck it.
Heitmeier term limits out of the Senate next year. Joe Mc doesn’t term limit b/c of the term he sat out when he ran for PSC and Dyess served four years. So, Joe Mc is going to make a serious run at Senate President. But I’m sure he would have liked to have the edge of moving up to Senate Finance Chair now. But Heitmeier lost so there you go.
When he was in office, Mike Foster lost me the day he said he didn’t see the need to fly out to meet with business prospects interested in coming to LA. Said he could do it over the phone just fine. NOT!
Mike Foster was worthless, he’s right up there with fire ants -good for nothing.
Just think if the 9th ward was still in New Orleans, they could mobilize the buses and get the democrat votes out by tons.
