Even black business leaders admit that what was needed was someone like Myron or Martin Johnson to run. Some blacks have also told me that none of the 4 are right for the job. The other problem is that whites perceive corruption among some of the black leadership. Others fear that the blacks are “taking over.” So, there’s a white push back factor. I think that if Roy can get in the runoff, he would be the candidate that could most likely work on uniting the community. This us or them attitude is going to prevent the city from moving forward.
