Unfortunately each mayoral candidate has some warts! John Sams would probably be the most honest of the lot, but with his attitude we would four years of arguing at city hall. I would think we would need a diplomatic person as mayor. And we know that certainly is not John Sams. Delores Brewer had my vote before the information about her trying to secure the contrat with the Alexandria Housing Authority surfaced. It was probably legal for her to do so, but just because something is legal doesn’t make it right. Actually, it smelled to high heaven. I then had decided to vote for Jacques Roy. But then he had to make the comment about Brewer being responsible for the missing yard signs. If he has evidence regarding the stolen signs, he should share it. If not, he should not make such accusations. I can’t vote for Joe Fuller. Apparently his whole campaign is based on getting a water park built downtown. Voting for Charles Smith would be voting Alexandria into bankruptcy. He would have us up to our rear ends in contracts for studies, surveys, etc. And for Alice Hammond, I just don’t know enough abouy her. So, what a pickle this is! Anyone have any well-grounded suggestions?

It is a shame it is too late for Lamar White Jr. to qualify to run for mayor of Alexandria! He would get my vote.
