Don’t bank on the rest of the country NOT reading the Times. The sad part is most people, as proved recently don’t know where Louisiana is on a map. Worse, they don’t know Alexandria isn’t located in East Carrol Parish. Now we have two people from Alexandria quoted about prison labor use in a poverty stricken, employment challenged parish while some people are do their best to change the image of our region and attract people from out of town to live, work and play here. GREAT!
You never know what influences a company’s decision to locate or a potential CEO, CFO, plant manager, etc candidate to decide to accept a job with a local company. Stories like this with an appearance of being linked to Alexandria don’t help.
