Fuller either has it sewed up or is getting some bad advice on holding back. Lots of democrats will commit before he gets in the mix. This will give us an opportunity to observe Rosevelt and see if he is about race or about progress. It he shys away from council misconduct and conflict-of-interest issues he does not earn my confidence. How about the rest of you?
we agree with you anon. additionally we still want to see cfs questioned about Ethics Board Docket No. 2006-279 wherein cfs had the audacity to go to the state heh heh heh ethics board seeking permission to use gaeda to fund magnolia state peace officers association. (cfs is the president of magnolia peace officers association.)
I don’t think this was an audacious decision. Actually, it was prudent. If the same type of inquiry had been filed regarding the AHA contract, then any questions of perceived ethics violations would have been answered before the fact. Put simply, this helps to increase transparency.
Actually, that is not the pregnant conflict. A far more interesting inquiry would be CFS’s connection(s) with hotel Patel. There is no way to explain or justify those connections. Mr. Gunn should have his next 90 days worth of stories already written. And now KALB is starting to ask substantive questions!!!!
What do you all have to say about the way the Sheriffs race is about to start.Rumor is that William Earl will resign next month and move Solcum up into the Sheriff job. That will be BIG mistake.
Patel is/was a business partner with CFS (denied then admitted in deposition under oath), contracts with city on the Holiday Inn, “leases” space to CFS’s 20+ year old squeeze in an “enterprise” in which CFS describes self as “invester”, employs councilman Marshall is bs job, etc.
