The Northdside Journal reported that the City of Pineville is ivestigating charges of sexual harrassment by Pineville City Court clerk, Les Prestrige. But I wonder why? Pineville is ordered by law, along with the Police Jury, to supply the court with facilities. The court, however, is a separate legal entity, with its judge elected by not just Pineville, but by wards 9, 10 and 11. In a recent court of appeal decision, Pineville fought for and was held NOT to be the employer of the personnel in the City Court clerk’s office. What then does the City of Pineville have to do with sexual harassment in the court’s clerk office? Well the answer is simple. Mayor Fields’lying, two-faced, radio announcing, non-educated hatchet man, Rich Dupree, and his cronies, are out to get Judge Terrell. You see, Judge Terrell, as a judge is supposed to do, rules upon each case upon its own merits and does not impose the maximum fine upon every single defendant. Pineville City Hall, apparently, wants a judge they can control, in order to operate the City Court, not for justice, but as a money making operation for the City. Not liking that Judge Terrell serves the people, not the City, officials from City Hall are openly seeking candidates, that they feel they can better control, run against Judge Terrell. It seems likely that City Hall encouraged the victims of Prestrige sexual harrassment to file complaints with City Hall, not Judge Terrell, their employer, as the law requires, simply as ammunition to use against the independent Judge Terrell. Judge Terell is doing his duty, as the employer, in conducting his own investigation. Another reason the City wrongfully put its nose into something that is not its business, is because Les Prestrige is suing them for injuries he allegedly sustained due to mold exposure in Pineville’s court building. I personally heard Mayor Fields curse like a sailor over Prestrige informing employees in City Hall that their building had the same mold problems. Dupree and Mayor Fields took no action on the courthouse mold problems, until forced to do so with threatened court action, despite sitting and doing nothing for several months after receiving expert reports that the mold could have harmful health consequences for their employees and citizens who utilized the buildings. If the allegations against Prestrige turn out to be true, the laws against sexual harrassment should be applied to him. However, those laws should be applied for their own reasons, and not the political conspiracies concocted within Pineville City Hall. So now you know the rest of the story.
So are you saying this guy did it, or he didn’t do it, or you don’t care because you are angry at the Pineville Mayor?
I am told that this ain’t Les Prestridge’s first accusation of sexual misconduct, or his second. Folks say you can see the Judge and Les having lunch all over town – buddy/buddy.
I hear the City prosector has only tried one case against a criminal in 5 years and LOST that one. Is the Mayor going to INVESTIGATE that ? No. its ALL political

Howabout the fact that all investigating parties including his poor daughter’s law firm found that the allegations had merit and they canned him.
