Seems like KALB is interested in interviewing me about the blog. What would you do?

I think I need to wait until the blog is more issues-oriented and the cloud of this mean guy has blown away.

  1. The blog is what it is. You have the city insiders, the political jockeys, the rabid assholes, the envious wannabes, the creative forces, the distructive forces. It is what it is. If you want it to look like “Meet the Press” you are will be dishonest.

  2. Have you noticed how the toilet bowl is uncharacteristically quiet? LOL
Maybe some are scared of the TT. Your article Sunday has opened up the blinds.

  3. Lamar – If you are interested in furthering this blog to the point where there are hordes of people looking at it and contributing to it, go ahead and do the interview. The big bad guy probably knows who you are already. If he really wants to find you and doesn’t know, that is easy enough to do. Just be prepared for others like him (or her.) I seriously doubt it’s a her. Not to mention, it will also give you an opportunity to give yourself and business a little publicity. If you don’t do it while they are interested, you may not get another opportunity. As We Saw That said….do what you feel is right.

  4. Scarlett, I think you’re probably right. I think I’m going to wait two weeks, build up an audience, write more about the issues, and then do the interview. The problem is: If thousands of people visit the blog tomorrow, all they’re going to read is b.s. about my family. And that’s NOT the point of this blog.

The question is: Will this still be interesting enough in two weeks for a story on KALB?

Ultimately, writers write in order to be read. I want to publicize this as much as possible, particularly if the publicity is free. But I don’t want the publicity to adversely effect my family.

  5. Lamar, we have wanted to do this story for a while so I do not see any reason why waiting a few more weeks would matter. You are the future and what you do here will have negative and positive effects. We will wait but don’t be concerned about the kalb viewers they will hate or love you no matter what is on here I can promise you that.

  6. Lamar, as it is Cenlamar shows the best and the worst of “us”. Isn’t that worth talking about? Perhaps people will join in, wake up and vote.

  7. I’ve been complaining about the slow but sure demise of the mall but KALB or the TT seems not to care about that, so perhaps you should do the interview. I’ve been trying to learn the relation between showing thug videos in a shoe store has to do with selling shoes, repelling a large segment of the community. Again, money talks, bs walks.

  8. Lamar,
Don’t wait. Time will have no bearing on the truth and the impact to wake people up in this area is tremendous. I applaud Michelle for her stance as she is a voice of reason. It is time to get people talking – go for it.

  9. And it’s long past time for someone to do something about the certain demise of the mall. The thugs are slowly taking over and noone appears to be doing anything about it. Most of the business owners in the mall are frustrated about the lack of creativity about keeping the undesireables out.
