    A sign at the front gates of Louisiana College proclaims “Pineville: A Great Place to Call Home.” In many ways, this is perhaps hopeful at best, as Pineville, like the rest of the Alexandria Metro area, has many obstacles to overcome in order to be a truly great place to call home.
