    On Sunday, I returned to the States after spending the holiday break in South Africa with my family. I have to get this out of the way first: South Africa is an absolutely incredible country, and I am still absorbing and relishing the experience. Later this year, the world’s attention will be squarely on South Africa, as it hosts the 2010 FIFA World Cup, and I have no doubt that, nearly two decades after the fall of apartheid, the world will collectively rediscover one of the most culturally diverse and beautiful countries on the planet.     Yesterday, the King Edward Hotel in Jackson, Mississippi reopened after 40 years and after a $90 million renovation, thanks in large part to former New Orleans Saint Deuce McAllister and the Louisiana-based HRI Properties. Congratulations to everyone involved. I think the restoration and reopening of this historic property is great news for the people of Jackson, and not surprisingly, this news has generated a lot of personal testimonials about the King Edward.
