In the view of the future, where was the waterlide?
I know what you ment.
It’s a good question.
I think Pineville ends up with the waterslide. They put it next to Fun Zone, the most ridiculous use of prime property I have ever seen.
There is no waterslide. We will all be too busy Jacquing the Casbah.
Don’t you mean, Jacquing in the Free World.
We could go on all day.
I am thinking about getting a T-shirt made for election day that says “Jacques Me Like A Hurricane.” Evacuees might find it in poor taste, but whatever.
To change the subject… OBAMA in ’08!!! He promised on “Meet the Press” to give a presidential run serious consideration after Nov. 7. Every time I have heard him speak, I have dreamt of him at the head of the ’08 Democratic ticket. Apparently many others have the same thought and are imploring him to throw his hat in the ring. (Hillary would be a disaster as the nominee, in my opinion, and Republicans hope she WILL be the Democratic candidate.)
Obama is a poised, eloquent, brilliant statesman from what I’ve seen. You can download a taste of his new book at barackobama.com if you’re interested. Maybe with his leadership American politics could enter a new era, with productive debate on issues of substance replacing tedious vitriolics over unimportant issues. Politics over the past couple of decades has devalued Congress as a whole and accomplished almost nothing for We the People. America needs a leader to steward us back to a thoughtful civil society with a sense of shared purpose. High ideals should belong to all of us- all political parties, left and right, black and white. Obama may just have the right stuff to lead us to a better nation.
I’m lovin’ me some Obama too. I think he would win by a landslide.
A landslide still doesn’t match a waterslide victory.
Useless Public Works in ’08!
