Record turn out would be very positive for the city. This is not an easy race to call after 20 years of having a very popular mayor. With no incumbent, the election is extremely competitive, due to the demographics of the city. For the past two decades, here was very little doubt going into election day who would win. I think people will stay up tonight until they know who’s in a runoff in November.
historically the absentee returns are posted on this site around 8:15 or so.
I think the LSU game will be a factor in the turnout. Especially since it was an early game.
Looks like Jacques is the victor!
WOOOOOHOOOOOO GO JACQUES!!!!
Now the real work starts.
Jacques the VOTE…..baby!!!!!! Jacques the VOTE!!!
to all the naysayers…….SUCK IT BEE-ATCH!!!!!
hey—Wake up Lamar-let us hear from you!! Way to go Roy!!!
I woke up with purple teeth and a Jacques the Vote sticker stuck on my face like a blindfold. I guess that means it was a good party.
WOOOHOOO!! Mad props to the voters in Alexandria!! 33% with 7 candidates running ….. DAMN!
Just imagine what a blowout it will be with just 2 running. Can’t wait for Nov. 7.
Everyone already know that the most critical votes in the Nov 7th runoff will be the 109 votes (or 0.896%) that Red pulled down. I would bet that both camps are busy today devising tactical strategies to win those over.
im from houston and in the last 48 hours that i’ve made my first visit to alexandria, i know i’d vote for jacques roy!!!
Please go back to Houston!!
