You know what I love about Roy more than any other candidate is that not only does he know the issues but he has brought attention to issues know one is talking about like, urban sprawl and green spaces. Clearly thinking ahead.

Lamar, consider me a convert. Jacques Roy is the only candidate willing and able to write and talk extensively about the issues. Thank God we have someone as talented and motivated as Jacques.

Sad. This is very late for someone to finally begin to discuss issues and even now its not complete…Check out most of the other candidates and you will find discussion for almost one full year about the issues. One has a plan that people like called Advance Alexandria. Check it out at http://www.advancealexandria.com. This plan has been in the public eye for input for many many months and is getting great response. Dr. Sams is the only candidate who began talking about positive issues and will run to the end on positive issues. Roy is a trial lawyer which is why many people will not be voting for him.

Interesting response.
First, what cases has Jacques taken during his career that lead you to believe he is a trial lawyer? Or are you just speaking in generalities about the entire profession?
Second, I can’t seem to find the same type of in-depth discussion on the issues on Dr. Sams’ website. Perhaps he has discussed the issues more thoroughly in person, but the currently, the web version of this plan is simply a series of bullet pointed priorities, all important but still lacking in substance.
We’re still one month away from the election. Relax. People still have time to read and learn about the issues.

Glad to see that Roy even knows what “new urbanism” or “smart growth” is. I have tried several times to discuss this with folks in the administration and they just look at me as if I had grown a third eye in the middle of my forehead. Delores seemed open to discussing it but I got the feeling she wasn’t able to fully grasp the concept. If Roy is for real…he should be our next Mayor.

As one of the persons who was there for the first John K. Snyder
broadcast’s, and Snyder being one of the few persons I have pegged on first contact, I read him right. A loon.I am reminded of his campaign
tatics today when I received a very muddy mail out that smacks of Snyderism from the Roy Campaign.
