Sounds like retaliation from the thugs. Too bad their parents? didn’t practice birth control. All they can do is screw and cause trouble.

Lula Lane is also address of one of the SWAT team members who was involved in the shootout with Molette. There has to be a connection there.

I’d still love to hear an explanation on that Molette shooting. What in the hell was the hurry to get him out of there so that their leaders had them rush in to get killed? Why could they not have used tear gas or some such tactic to get him out? What about just WAITING him out? Those two officers died due to sorry leadership.

That’s the fictitious town in Tommy Cicardo’s book entitled: “DON’T LOOK AT ME – I WAS JUST IN CHARGE OF EVERYTHING – IT’S SOMEBODY ELSE’S FAULT – I AM GREAT”

Oh, ok, I’ve not had the pleasure, nor inclination to read it. I tend toward stuff that is true.

Well, I will respond by saying if you would get your head out of your but, and educate yourself you would find the answers.

Any blog site I go to your ugliness follows. Why? Because you have an axe to grind. Could it be you had disciplinary action during the previous chief. Or your job performance was inadequate.

I am amazed there has been no civil service hearings, because the same group that the BLACK POWER group were screaming about are still in the police department.
    Vverrrrry curious?

The previous chief had the most civil service hearings and upheld firings of any chief.

Still bad apples, but hey they have no worries now. The new chief
does not care if you do your job or not.

How many civil service hearings have there been in the last 3 years? Huhhhh.

Excuse me for being curious! I only wondered what the hurry was in getting Molette out of the house. I merely wondered why tear gas wasn’t employed or just waiting the jerk out. He couldn’t have stayed in there forever. It ain’t brain surgery and I’m not asking about anything other than that particular incident where two police officers were killed, for as far as I can see, for no good reason.

I may be in the dark as to police tactics but holy crap, even I know there are ways of getting a perpetrator out of a place of hiding without rushing the dang place. Perhaps the officers acted on their own? In which case, it’s totally on them, but if they were ordered in without first employing a more safe method? What do you think?

    To alwayswondered,
I can understand your curiousity,so I will explain as much as I know, since I am not under a gag order.

The officers were entering the house to serve a search warrant. The police were told by several sources, including the two females that had just left that residence, that no one including Molette was there.

There was no arrest warrant only a search warrant, to obtain evidence of the shooting of the police the night before. The special response team was deployed to secure the residences before search ,due to the unprovoked attack the night before.

Molette was hidden, waiting inside and cold bloodly ambushed them.

I am still amazed at all the misconceptions.

At the end of one of the city council meetings, Charles F. Smith congratulated Chief Coutee on the handling of some recent incident, and had the nerve to say “not like the last chief.”

He is ignorant, with a lawsuit pending against the city, that was his comment. He along with the others got what they wanted, a black police chief, with lots of help from the TT.

I do not believe I will ever get over the injustices heaped on us.

    Carolyn Cicardo

I appreciate the explanation, Carolyn. I never saw any kind of detail in the TT as to what happened, since I haven’t lived here all that long and only knew what I read in the paper.

I don’t suppose you’ll ever hear or see the words Charles F. Smiff and decency in the same sentence. After hearing him speak on several occasions I can’t imagine how he has managed to get this far in life without someone hitting him with a club.
