“We put everything out on the table and did all that we could do,” Smith said, referring to a resolution passed during the City Council’s July 18 regular meeting calling on the city to do whatever it could to make sure the plant stayed in Alexandria.

I regret I cannot comprehend ebonics. Isn’t this person a candidate for the Mayor’s job? Seems like one of the qualifications for mayor would be the ability to speak comprehensible English.
