The Rev Gene Mills is my brother. His politics and need to force his skewed theocratic view of democracy on all are an embarrassment to any thinking, caring and/or devout person. I wish he read Jesus' words with understanding, and I wish that people would voice their disagreement with him at his home. He seems so willing to influence your family's experiences, why not share the feeling. Christopher S. LeBlanc, Ph.D. Kenner Louisiana

Jesus did not say anything about homosexuality.

The word 'Sin' is not used in criminal statutes.

The people that drafted the original bully bill to stop harasement of gay kids were republicans. It's about stopping bullying nothing more.

By the way, the teach more about being gay on cable tv than they will ever get in a classroom

"If the bill would have addressed bullying, I would have made sure it passed. But this bill was model legislation used in other states to force school systems to teach elementary school kids about homosexual lifestyles. That would be an embarrassment to Louisiana!! If you would do a little research before going off half cocked, you would see that everything I said yesterday was exactly correct...

There are currently 28 laws, statutes and regulations in Louisiana which prohibit bullying. This bill added nothing except to open our schools to the teaching of the LGBT agenda. I have studied the teachings of Jesus Christ and I agree with his teachings regarding homosexuality. It is a sin plain and simple and it does not need to be taught in our schools. I was taught long ago to avoid getting into a debate with an idiot. It was said that the idiot would simply bring me down to her level and beat me with experience. So, in keeping with my education, I will now discontinue this discussion." ~LA Rep. Alan Seabaugh's response to me on 5/20/11
