Les is a dear friend for many years. It is hard to imagine the Alexandria Zoo without him. He was always a bright spot in my life. I will not forget his expression of his beginnings in the business...mowing the grass at our zoo in Monroe. I had coffee with Jake Yelverton last week and we had a long walk down memory lane, pausing a number of times when it was difficult to continue. I always admired, appreciated and enjoyed his vision, his energy, his compassion and his music...and of course, his wit. Lee Ann, you are in my prayers and my heart, as is Les, always. God Bless.
