So as the days of the primary campaigns roll on, I've begun to notice that the Town Talk seems to be tallying 3-5 of these planted prefabbed 'opinion pieces' per week.

In yesterday's paper there was letter to the editor from California and another from i believe Alabama or Texas. One was disparaging Clinton and the other attempting to purport the overall unelectability of a black candidate.

I somehow doubt that these letters were even written directly to the Town Talk in the first place. And, I find it extremely hard to believe that the Town Talk doesn't recognize these pieces as the political plants they so obviously are.

These are not letters written by former residents of Cenla, or of people doing business with our community, or by anyone else with the slightest true connection to the readership of the Town Talk.

To me this seems like yet another situation in which the already extremely tarnished reputation of the Town Talk is adding yet another blemish to their lack of journalistic integrity.

is this a case of Gannet selling 'hidden' political advertising through their editorial pages or is it yet another case of the Town Talk's staff attempting to sell their personal political beliefs to the public under the false pretense that they are representing the will of their readership.
