I find it almost comical that Jindal is running with a platform of reforming the state and elminating corruption - what part of this I am missing?

Corruption is corruption - whether it be stealing funds or alienating the rights of any person, against every principal of a democrcy IMHO!

No formal (or informal, it appears) acknowledgement that Jindal is concerned in the least about the conduct of one of his staffers that would remove the rights of any law abideing person at a public event!
